Our story

Why DEHORS exists: making the outdoors accessible to everyone, with free outings for every level, all over Quebec.

We know the hurdles.

Everybody wants to get outdoors. What gets in the way is rarely motivation: it’s not knowing where to start, not having the gear, and having nobody to go with.

Dehors was born to fix all three. Free outings, for every level, all over Quebec. Every now and then, bigger events (or totally wacky ones). And above all, a crew of committed people who believe that helping each other takes us further than any summit.

We want to get young people started on the right foot. And we dream of the day Dehors ends up on the back of everyone who loves getting outside.

What guides us

• Accessibility — No gear? Who cares. Never been out with a group? Even better. All you need is the urge to get outside. We’ll handle the rest.
• Community — Here, nobody finishes an outing alone. We push each other to go further, and we get the next folks hooked on the outdoors from day one.
• Ambition — We’re starting with Sunday outings. Where do we end up? No clue. But we dream of the day Dehors ends up on the back of everyone who loves getting outside.

The trail so far

1. Summer 2026 · The idea — A crew of friends realizes everyone around them wants to get outside, but nobody knows where to start.
2. Sept. 2026 · A real identity — Dehors gets a look to match: rugged, warm, and ready for the trail.
3. Fall 2026 · Sunday outings — The first group outings. Free, open to everyone, all over Quebec.
4. What’s next · Dreaming big! — More outings, bigger events, a shop, and a crew that grows with every summit.
